Abstract


Bilateral cleft lip, also known as a hare lip is one of the challenging surgery in oral and maxillofacial field. Long term follow-up of the cleft patient often frustrates a surgeon, who wants to seek the ideal operation methods. There are a variety of surgical methods has been developed for bilateral cleft lip. Mulliken¡¯s methods is the one of the most widely used surgical methods for bilateral cleft lip. Fisher modified the previous surgical methods and suggested straight line repair with small triangular flap for lip length correction. In this case report, complete bilateral cleft lip was repaired using Fisher methods. Surgical results were presented after one-year follow-up. Successful and esthetic result was observed with properly restored Cupid bow and piltral ridges.
